March 2026:

HELPING HANDS AGAINST VIOLENCE

Since 1978, Helping Hands has grown from a volunteer-run safe-house network into a community agency with two facilities supporting survivors of abuse. Chrysalis House provides a 30-day emergency shelter for survivors and their children escaping unsafe situations. The YWC offers transitional housing for survivors who would otherwise be homeless. Beyond shelter, Helping Hands provides vital services like a 24-hour hotline, legal advocacy, and support groups to help survivors rebuild their lives and end cycles of violence.
